For the first time in 4 years, the older boy was excited to share with me about what he had learned in school (internal organs). His teacher had somehow made a potentially boring and prosaic subject into a fun one!
"Mama mama! do you know that each internal organ could make phone calls to the "Big Boss Brain"????"
He then related this HILARIOUS story about diarrhoea! (stomach calls brain to say it's sick, and brain calls legs to tell them to run to the toilet, etc. etc. but the part that made me ROFL was when he said, "Then finally when the man sits down on the toilet bowl, the brain calls the Anus! And says, 'Ok Anus! Release the motion!!!'"
oh my..
So today I am thankful for
...my son's Teacher.. who sure knows how to make learning fun! (and relevant to 6 year olds.. hmm.. toilet humour)
