Survived a year's work at this "new job"!
That's something to be thankful for, isn't it? :)
In the past year i have learned SO MUCH! it's unbelievable how boxed in I was in a special school setting.. although i have learned TONNES in my 7.5 yrs there too. But the clientele i had served was such a small subset of special needs that it still astounds me how little I know about other disabilities! It still shocks me too, to know that there are SO MANY children out there with learning disabilities and difficulties.
Makes one wonder, is the curriculum so damn difficult now (because i'm sure if I were a student today, I would be in a special school!) or are more and more of our kids developing these issues???
