Le Chocolat Haus
Injuries and such
So the littler one has hurt himself (again)
Thankfully the impact was not on his eye (but everywhere around it! Leaving a world map shaped bruise on his nosebridge, forehead etc) but there was a lot of blood and oh a lot of screaming of course
Just thankful for my handy set of essential oils so his bruise can heal naturally and rather effectively...(coz there's no way i can put "Zambuk" on his face near the eye!)
And thankful for an otherwise fun and entertaining playdate w the bestie!
Treetop Trail
Thankful for good weather for our treetop trail expedition!
We were exhausted!!! Not kidding! But saw so many interesting things!
Amongst which, we were most thrilled to see :
20th Boxing Day Party
20 years and 20 kgs ago... We started a "tradition" of gathering on Boxing Day (or thereabouts) at 1 person's house and have a Magnificent Feast via potluck..
Oh how we have upgraded from pringles and doritos to homemade beef briskets and other gourmet things!
A Year
But here we are... Alive, quite well, and (hopefully) all the better and stronger from the changes :)
Looking back, i might have done certain things differently...
1. WORRY LESS
2. RELAX MORE
3. WORRY EVEN LESS THAN point no. 1
Really. Life will throw you curveballs whether you worry or not. Seems like that this year, at least! And worrying doesnt make the problems vanish. You still have to face them head on and take the crap.
This year, i find that i have to, with extreme difficulty, wrap my mind around the concept that my parents, my primary caregivers for the longest time, are aging and facing aging problems. I have to also brace myself for the heartbreaking but inevitable finality of life for some of my loved ones and friends.
(Remember the show 4 Weddings and a Funeral? Well i had 4 Funerals and a Wedding. And NO hugh grant. How's that for shits)
And through all this i worried and stressed myself out with the what-ifs and oh-nos. Naturally. When none of that mattered. Somewhere out there, Someone has bigger plans for the people around me, and no amount of cogitation or worrying was going to change these plans.
So why worry?
Have a good end to the year, everyone!!
Last coffee with a BFF before she flies to Melbourne! Thankfully only for 2 months :)
Thankful for friends who accomodate to my school-holiday meeting up requirements (ie Kids tagging along!!) and agreeing to meet at places where the boys were well entertained while we still could enjoy our conversations :)
Awash with gratitude
Bubble Scape 😄
