I figured the ONE way to achieve all these things might be to change my mindset from something that more or less (always) borders on the negative about EVERYTHING.... to something.. well. More positive.
I chanced upon this Thankfulness Project idea after working with my awesome boss for the last few months. She suggests this to parents (and the kids, if they are old enough to write journals): to write down something they are thankful for every day. Over time, it WILL change your mind about how your life is. I.e. from self pitying my life sucks to.. hey, maybe it isnt' so bad.
I'm not sure how this will work out for me, but here goes anyway. I've nothing to lose, anyway. Right?
Right.
I hope.
So here goes.
3rd January 2013.
I am Thankful for....
my kids being well enough to go to school, so that I can have some time to myself, and to do some of my work.
Great! :)
What are YOU thankful for? :)
